| PRO-TRUCK
A Brief Background |
In 1996 when Mr.Raine left his position at a Scania dealer to set
up his own business buying and selling used vehicles as an independent.
Very quickly he was introduced to Isuzu Truck and decided that this
was the way forward and after several meetings Isuzu Truck became
part of the portfolio. At this time the company was trading as Lesro
commercial sales, and Mr. Raine thought a more professional name
was required and considering the industry came up with “professional
truck services” ie professional in what we do, truck needs
to be broader to in corporate all commercial businesses, we offer
a service. Thinking more laterally and the possibility of further
expansion named the business Pro-Truck Commercial Services Limited.
Premises was the next issue as Mr.Raine was working out of a friends
yard in Harrogate ( E Houseman and son whom Mr. Raine has the utmost
gratitude and respect for)
So opened workshops in Darlington. Over the next 3 years the company
moved premises as it grew very quickly and out grew the premises
they were in , until the present site was found in Banks Road which
is now owned freehold by the company.
Pro-truck adopted the customer care philosophy of Isuzu and have
worked very hard to keep up with the rapid growth retaining a very
strong customer base and putting customer care at the forefront
of all business. The whole company adopts this policy.
The strength of the company has attracted several other franchises
looking to do business with Pro-truck but have not had the passion/support
that the company looks for to carry out their business with confidence.
In 2003 Pro-truck took on BMC truck and bus and having endured
initial set up is now looking to a long and fruitfull working relationship
in promoting the Product.
The two main brands Isuzu Truck and BMC truck and bus have an exciting
range of vehicles as you can see within this web site and Pro-truck
are looking forward to steady consolidated growth giving the customers
exactly what they want, better profit margins.
